Leonard Gershe
A tragicomedy in two acts

The production is based on American playwright Leonard Gershe's sad and funny play.
The action takes place over the course of a single day in a small apartment in Manhattan where two people meet: the novice actress Jill and the future musician Donald. Both are very young, both ran away from parental supervision, both have a strong desire to find freedom and find themselves. They're very similar, and also very different, and this gives rise first to a mutual interest, then understanding and, finally, something like love... But it turns out that adult life isn't just about freedom, but also about responsibility, about the difficulty of making choices and the need to answer for one's decisions and actions. The show's creators have rethought this world-famous play, often staged as a melodrama, and decided to ask themselves what are love, freedom and responsibility? Nevertheless, the show is not bereft of Gershe's humor, irony or lyricism.
